Olga Bartysh

Olga works with painting and ceramics, and is currently developing a large-scale multidisciplinary project on the themes of adoption and child protection. The project includes ceramics, video, photography, and installation.

She also attends open ceramic studios in Wrocław and continues to explore new forms of visual storytelling.

Olga was born in 1982 in Lviv, Ukraine. She currently lives and works in Wrocław, Poland.


She graduated from the Faculty of Journalism at Ivan Franko National University of Lviv.
She also studied design at the Ukrainian Academy of Arts (Lviv) and took private painting lessons with artists Oleh Radvan and Volodymyr Nemyra.

Later, she completed professional courses in Art Management at Art Business Academy and "Contemporary Art" with curator Marina Shcherbenko.
She also attended a drawing studio at the Institute of Architecture and Art in Rzeszów, Poland.

Olga has held eight solo exhibitions in Ukraine and participated in numerous group exhibitions both nationally and internationally.

In 2023, she published a non-fiction book titled “Friday Will Come Anyway. And Then Sunday” (Laboratoria Publishing), where she explores the emotional journey of adopting a non-biological child.

I create to hold on to the fragile — light, emotion, presence. My art is my way of listening to what cannot be said, but can be felt.
