
Alena Kuznetsova
Alena is a professional multidisciplinary Ukrainian artist, born in 1986, who lives and works in Kyiv, Ukraine.
Artist’s creative work includes painting, graphics, land art, video, objects, installation, photo, and ceramic sculpture, while the leading media is painting.
Alena Kuznetsova has been actively exhibiting since 2008.
She had 14 solo shows (most in Kyiv) and took part in numerous visual projects abroad, including art fairs and art prize contests.

Alena's art practice focuses on natural changes with time within the cycling phenomenon of life and death, fragility, and feminity.
The artist returned to ecofeminist and social issues in her recent projects since 2022: Ukraine is Me; To Scatter Stones; To the River, to the Forest; Flowers or Explosions; Relations with the Image.
EXHIBITIONS:
Alena took part in Artists at Risk residency, AICA, Dublin (IE); Cultural Traffic residency, Vyzhnitsa (UA); Ukrainian 12 show, Portraits International Gallery, Brussels (BE); Concentration of the Will, M17, Kyiv (UA).
The paintings and sculptures are privately owned and in collections in Ukraine, the USA, the United Kingdom, Australia, Germany, Italy, Chech, Switzerland, Spain, Hong Kong, and France.
Alena’s art changed critically with the full-scale invasion.
She came out to her international audience with a war agenda and began volunteering talking and writing spreading the word about Ukraine.
Then she realized a woman artist could and should be heard.
